Booking & Check-In

Q: What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in: after 2:00 pm
Early check-in may be available subject to prior arrangement. Additional charges may be applied.

Check-out: 10:00 am
Late check-out may be available subject to prior arrangement. Additional charges may be applied.

Q: Do you require a security bond upon check-in?

Not required with a credit card

Otherwise, $200 deposit required if use debit card (e.g. Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit) or cash.

*Please note that the pre-authorisation will be refunded from our trust account right away, but it may take up to 5 business days to show up in your account depends on which bank you are using.

Q: What are the reception hours?

Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 12 noon and 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am 12 noon (management available via telephone if required)
Sunday: Closed (management available via telephone if required).

Q: Is after hours check-in available?

Yes, prior arrangement needed. It is preferable to contact the office 24-hours prior arrival to arrange the after hours check-in instructions.

Q: Can I have a late check-out?

Please discuss with the office on arrival. Additional charges may apply.

Q: When do I have to pay a deposit?

Deposit is payable upon confirmation of booking

Q: Can I book theme park tickets at reception?

Theme park tickets or other attractions tickets are available from Reception.

Services & Facilities FAQ's

General information about our accommodation services and on-site facilities.

Q: Is there Internet or WiFi access available?

Wi-Fi is FREE (i.e. included in your accommodation rate) in both units and common areas.

Q: What facilities do you have?

BBQ area, a 25 metre salt water pool, an 8 metre children’s wading pool (0.4-meter depth), Heated spa.

Non-Smoking Rooms, Non-Smoking Floors / Areas,  Tour Desk.

Q: Is there any baggage storage service?

Unfortunately, we cannot store your luggage, especially if you have late flights outside the check out time. If you are arriving early but during office hours, we may be able to arrange storage.

Q: Is there car parking available?

There will be one allocated car park space free for you to park for every booking.

Q: Is all linen provided?

All apartments are self contained with all linen and bath towels provided service for 7 days and above stay free of charge.

Q: How often are the rooms serviced?

Because all units are self-serviced apartments, we do not service the unit daily. If your booking is 7 days or more, there will be a free service to change over for linens and towels and a quick clean in between your stay.

Q: Is the pool heated?

The pool is not heated, but we do have a heated spa.

Q: Can we smoke on the balcony?

No, as Sanctuary Lake Apartments now is a SMOKE-FREE complex. This means it includes all private balconies in the unit.

To look after our children and community, please DO NOT SMOKE in the complex. It will be much appreciated!


Q: So where can we smoke?

As long as you are outside the complex - at the front, the side gate, or at the back. However, we will recommend you to carry a container to keep your cigarette butts. Don't be a tosser.

Please note: Littering is unlawful in Queensland, please look after our environment for our future generation.

Q: Can I bring my pet during my stay?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

Q: How far away is the Gold Coast airport?

Gold Coast airport is only a 5 minute drive.
Public transport is also available to and from Gold Coast airport. Bus 760 from Airport to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

Q: What local attractions are in the area?

Beautiful Currumbin beachfront, beachside park and playground are located across the road from our resort

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is on the same block, approximately 300 metres walking distance to the main entrance.

The ever-popular Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Life Saving Club is only a 600 metre walk away.

Q: Where can I surf? Are there surfboards or bodyboards for hire?

There are several surf beaches in the area, Currumbin Alley beach and Currumbin main beach are just a short walk.

We have surfboards and bodyboards available for hire at reception.

Q: How close is Surfers Paradise & Broadbeach?

25-minute drive to Surfer’s Paradise and Broadbeach via Gold Coast Highway.

Q: Are there shops or restaurants nearby?

Supermarkets, Surf Life Saving Clubs, Restaurants, Shops 500 metre stroll

Local shops and restaurants (include local IGA, chemist and cafe) are 800 m walking distance

Local restaurants and Tugun Hotel are within walking distance. You can choose from Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Italian and Indian restaurants.

Be sure to check out the impressive local Friday Night Markets next to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. The markets operate every Friday night.

Q: Is there public transport nearby?

Public transport is available at the front of our resort.

Q: Where can I buy groceries locally?

IGA Supermarket is located 800m from our resort

If you are looking for Woolworths, Coles or Aldi, you can get off the M1 at Exit 93, The Pines Shopping Centre has mostly everything you need.
