Ushering in the Year of the Sheep, the Gold Coast will again be home to spectacular and festive Chinese New Year celebrations.
As we again welcome another year in the Chinese calendar, it’s that time of the year to celebrate this special occasion to bring in good luck and prosperity all year. To welcome the Chinese New Year, the Gold Coast will host a special celebration where everyone can enjoy colourful festivities and fun-filled activities throughout the month of February.
Beginning on 14 February to the end of the month, the Chinese New Year Hot Air Balloon Gold Coast Fiesta will be held in Surfers Paradise as part of this new year celebration.
Bring all your friends and the whole family and witness a spectacular Chinese New Year celebration featuring the main highlight, a fiesta of balloons, which will colour the Gold Coast skies.
As the whole city welcomes a brand new year in the Chinese calendar, the Chinese New Year Hot Air Balloon Gold Coast Fiesta will bring loads of fun activities and delightful entertainment. Aside from that, you can also enjoy delicious food, as well as a champagne breakfast at O' Reilly's Vineyard.
Kick off the Year of the Sheep with all this fun and excitement during the Chinese New Year Hot Air Balloon Gold Coast Fiesta. You can also enjoy floating over the breathtaking scenery of the verdant Gold Coast hinterland and take in the spectacular view of the city from a bird’s eye view.
