Ever felt like life was going so fast you’re not able to enjoy the moments that go by? If so, maybe mindfulness is for you.
Mindfulness is all about being in the present moment and enjoying it. It allows you to take time, breathe, and be. It uses meditation practices such as mindful breathing to help you be in the best moment you can be in: the present.
If you haven’t practiced mindfulness before, there will be a New Year’s Mindfulness Retreat at Byron Bay on 7 January 2017. It will be held at Yurt at Temple Byron starting from 9am. The retreat will be led by Melli O’Brien who will be guiding everyone through sitting meditation, mindful movement, mindful eating, and yoga nidra. She is an accredited yoga, meditation, and mindfulness teacher.
This will be a two-day retreat so it’s best to wear comfortable clothes and bring your meditation paraphernalia such as stools or cushions.
Attendees are advised to bring their own packed lunch and water. However, tea will be provided.
